About Us

IBEW Solidarity Ride

Riding through Spearfish Canyon

  • The IBEW Solidarity Ride began in 2007 when President Hill called Local 1250 Business Manager Randy Stainbrook and asked him to put together a ride for IBEW members. President Hill was making a trip to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and wanted to invite the brothers and sisters of the IBEW, who were also at the Motorcycle Rally, to join him on a tour of the Black Hills. The annual IBEW Solidarity Ride was born. Each year Local  Union1250 Motorcycle Club sponsors the Solidarity Ride to bring IBEW members, guests and all union brothers and sisters together for a day of solidarity, fun and some of the greatest motorcycle riding in the U.S.

Always ends with a BBQ Super

The Solidartiy Ride is always scheduled on the Sunday proceeding the official Monday of the World Famous Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The day begins with registration at IBEW Local 1250"s Union Hall starting at 10:00 am. Registration costs covers the poker run, which is part of our Solidarity Ride, for those that want to participate. The Poker Ride helps us cover the cost of putting on the ride. The Poker Run starts promptly at 12:00 noon and has a different route each year. The ride will last about 5 hours, returning back to the hall where we continue with a BBQ super, door prizes and awards for the Poker Run winners.
